Marissa Lopez Hope & Prosper Therapist

I offer a warm, supportive, and affirming space where you can feel safe to unmask and be yourself. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, with a focus on supporting adolescents and young women navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, as well as chronic illness and pain. I also specialize in working with neurodiverse clients, including ADHD and autism, and strive to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered.

About Me

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Governors State University, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. With over 5 years of experience I bring both professional training and personal understanding to my work with clients, especially within the neurodiverse community. As an ADHD-CCSP trained therapist, I am passionate about helping neurodivergent clients and fellow therapists feel validated and understood in their experiences.

In our work together, we’ll explore coping strategies that genuinely fit your needs and lifestyle—whether that means deep breathing, painting, going for a walk, giving yourself permission to rest, or even watching your favorite comfort show. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, build confidence, and develop supportive tools that feel realistic and sustainable.

Starting therapy can feel scary, and I want you to know you don’t have to navigate things alone. I aim to provide an authentic, empathetic, nonjudgmental space where your story is honored and your voice matters. I believe healing and growth happen best within a compassionate and collaborative relationship, and I’m committed to moving at a pace that feels right for you.
