Jennifer Staros, MA
If you are thinking of beginning therapy, I offer a nonjudgmental safe space for processing your feelings. Maybe you are going through a tough transition or trauma, or are struggling to handle anxiety or depression. You are the expert in your own life, and I feel privileged that you let me visit for a brief time.
About Me
I am a graduate of Governors State University in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling track. I have extensive experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, as well as persons with serious mental illness. I am passionate about decreasing stigma about mental health. Some of my other passions include women’s issues, ethnic and racial issues, and inter-generational trauma.
I gravitate towards Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in session because I am fascinated by how our thoughts affect our feelings, behaviors, and in turn, the relationships we have. I enjoy doing therapy with individuals and families, children, adolescents and young adults through adulthood. I am available for tele-health or in-person visits.
